20+ Ruby On Rails Problemo

I woke up late this morning. 11ish am.  Given the fact that I went to bed around 4, it is not that late.  I ended up finding this one kid that was going to help me with my homework on Saturday but I called it off then on Sunday he called it off...and for like ten minutes we talked about the assignment.  I worked on it for like 20+ hours. It was a Ruby on Rails blog application.  The assignment was to ad a filtering system that would filter out posts based on tags.  After talking to this kid, I went into my next class and it took me no longer than 10 minutes to fix the problem and get it up working.

You gotta love programming. Even when you don't know what you are doing :)

Boys

Boys = trouble.

Never date a boy.  You are only setting up for lots of problems.  Of course, if you are a boy, never date a girl as well.  People, nowadays, tend to date way too young. And because of this, problems arise.  Lots and lots of problems. So in order to stop this from becoming a problem in your life. Wait to date until you know who you are.  This way, you won't expect people to know who you are and misunderstand thousands of things.  Trust me.

Relationships 101: Clingy-ness

Relationships is one of the most strange and complicated topics of all times.  They rank well up there with the studies of Ancient Egypt, Rome, The Beginnings of this earth.  Ever since there was a man and woman on this earth, problems have arise.

But for today, we are going to tackle one issue that seems to affect many relationships.

Every body knows of someone that is too "clingy." These people can be boys or girls, young or old.  In most relationships, people are somewhat "clingy" at times, but not always.  It sort of comes and goes.  However, sometimes, some people go beyond a few times and start to, basically, suffocate the other person.

I understand that being with someone you love is something desirable and, when you are in love, it's just what you want to do. Just keep in mind that people that are clingy soon become annoying.  Not because they really are, but because people need room to breath.  It's okay to spend a few days with your beloved, but give them a break from time to time.

I promise, it won't be the end of the world. This way, both parties can start to develop themselves as individuals instead of always having their beloved right next to them.  This (giving each other space) helps the relationship grow and strengthen (or weaken).  Simply by allowing the person to be without your company will perhaps make them miss you...or realize that they don't really care about you as they thought or you them...it all depends.  But for the best sake of the relationship, GIVE EACH OTHER ROOM!
Many relationships crash because they want to spend 24/7 together...and then they burn out because they have spent so much time together that the relationship starts to be more of a burden than fun.  You don't want that to happen.  If married, it's somewhat different but similar principles apply.

Finding out if you or your partner are clingy?

* Must you spend every waking free moment with your significant other?
* Every activity you or your partner does must be approved by you or your partner?

If you answer yes to either, then you are clingy and you need to get out and do things separate from your partner or them from you.

Keep in mind that just because they are not with you or you with them in person, they are not in your heart.

Historical Periods of Egypt

Pharaohs were considered divine...they were considered as gods.

That's one of the reasons why they married within their families.  They had to create children so they married their siblings...this happened for 3000 years....

All pyramids (great) were made in the Old Kingdom (27000-2200 BCE).

Most of the surviving artwork is from the New Kingdom (1575-332 BCE).

Egyptian writing was known as Hieroglyphics = "sacred inscriptions."

Two types:
Hieratic script: for everyday writing
Demotic script: for business, legal, scientific, literary and religious documents

Hieroglyphics consisted of 600 ideograms and phonograms.

Not average person knew what it meant............

First Things First

I'm about to take a Scheme test...I studied somewhat, but I don't know much about currying. Cheers.

10:21am  UPDATE: I barely passed the test am sure. I knew most of it, but some of the stuff was somewhat confusing since I didn't think he'd put it in there.  I was wrong.
